The Old Rectory, Killyman || Jody and Becky

Jody and Becky’s wedding was the most beautiful relaxed summer’s day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments at the gorgeous Old Rectory, Killyman.

From the moment I arrived, I could feel the calm, laid-back vibe that set the tone for the entire day. The Old Rectory, with its charming gardens and historical architecture, provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was as relaxed and chilled out as it was stunning.

Getting Ready

The morning started with a peaceful buzz as the beautiful Becky got ready at her family home, surrounded by her family. Excitement filled the air as final touches were made, and anticipation built for the big moment. Meanwhile, the groom prepared at his own family home, sharing laughs and special moments with his loved ones before heading to the church.

A Ceremony to Remember

The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful church ceremony, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a delightful surprise; an ice cream truck waiting outside the church! With the sun shining brightly, everyone enjoyed cooling off with delicious frozen treats before making their way to The Old Rectory for the reception. It was one of those perfect summer days where time seemed to slow down, allowing everyone to truly soak in the joy of the occasion.

The Old Rectory’s breathtaking backdrops made for stunning portraits of the bride and groom and their bridal party. The grand historic house added a touch of timeless elegance to their photos. Meanwhile, the beautifully landscaped gardens, with their lush greenery and blooming flowers, provided a natural and serene setting for capturing the joy of the day. The variety of picturesque spots meant we could create a mix of romantic, classic, and fun portraits that truly reflected the couple’s personalities.

For the family portraits, we sought out the shade beneath the venue’s gorgeous stone wall, ensuring everyone was comfortable while still capturing the natural beauty of the surroundings. The contrast between the sunlit couple portraits and the shaded family moments added a beautiful variety to the wedding gallery, reflecting both the vibrancy and serenity of the day.

A Laid-Back Celebration

Laughter echoed throughout the afternoon as family and friends mingled, enjoying a few drinks, canapés and of course having plenty of craic! The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed every moment of the festivities. The energy was infectious, with everyone embracing the joy of the occasion and the sunshine definitely helped!

Inside, the venue was adorned with stunning floral arrangements that perfectly complemented its timeless elegance. Every detail, from the delicate table settings to the carefully chosen decorative pieces, reflected the couple’s style and attention to detail. The soft candlelight, elegant centerpieces, and intricate touches created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the celebration feel even more special.

This wedding was a true reflection of who the couple are. Fun, easy-going, and deeply in love. It was a privilege to capture their special day and witness such a beautiful celebration unfold at The Old Rectory, Killyman.

If you’re planning a wedding and love the idea of a laid-back, joy-filled day, this venue is definitely one to consider. Congratulations again to the wonderful couple—here’s to a lifetime of happiness!
